1. Integrate knowledge that allows resolving complex situations or issuing technical-scientific opinions based on scientific evidence, ethical principles and professional deontology;
2. Provide training for the acquisition and transfer of knowledge, promoting the implementation and dissemination of research in the continuous improvement of practice;
3. Develop general and specialized nursing care management skills;
4. Provide training for carrying out and cooperating in epidemiological surveillance at the geodemographic level of a population and/or community;
5. Provide training in the use of the Health Planning methodology to assess the health status of a community;
6. Develop skills that contribute to the process of empowering groups and communities;
7. Develop skills in coordinating community-level Health Programs and achieving the objectives of the National Health Plan.

Candidates who perform this Master's degree obtain a specialisation carried out through internships in public hospitals in Portugal, therefore, it is required to be registered with the Order of Nurses in Portugal.
