Each module has 1 day of clinical practice on patients.

In addition to clinical practice in all modules, students, throughout the clinical residency, will have the opportunity to carry out in practice on patients the techniques they have learnt and consolidated.

• Provide solid and responsible bases for all students so that they will be apt to place and rehabilitate dental implants within a medical perspective taking into consideration the particularities of each patient and each case;
• Make each student apt to set a Global Treatment Plan taking into consideration the several medical and dental specialties;
• In addition to current knowledge, convey to students the need to have an open mind, which is necessary in a field that evolves every single day. All of us need to be prepared for this type of change and that is only possible with a continuous education.

• To systematise the process for collecting the necessary information for the adequate planning of each case (clinical examination and imaging);
• About the implant system and its components;
• To select the most suitable surgical technique for each case;
• To promote contact with a wide range of biomaterials;
• To diagnose and treat the most frequent complications;
• To properly select the type of rehabilitation that is the most indicated for each case;
• To enable training in different surgical fields by practising on animals and supervised practice on patients;
• To acquire the most suitable knowledge for maintaining each case ensuring the longevity of treatment.
