The Clínica Fisioterapia Egas Moniz integrates teaching, research and community service. This combination is innovative and pioneering in Portugal. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, it has a direct relationship between the production of knowledge in physiotherapy and the teaching process of future physiotherapists.

In line with the commitment that Egas Moniz School of Health & Science assumes as a civic university, it reinforces the quality health service to the community with the guarantee of more affordable prices to the population.

It also has an innovative research laboratory and more advanced technological instrumentation. This way, it allows to promote a continuous improvement of services to the community and, at the same time, to offer innovative teaching tools in a clinical context to its students, allowing to take scientific production in the area of physiotherapy sciences further. 

At the Clínica Fisioterapia Egas Moniz, the intervention model is strongly based on physical exercise, from a perspective of prevention and rehabilitation.

The Clínica Fisioterapia Egas Moniz, with an area of around 500 m2, is located next to the Egas Moniz University Campus. 

The clinic is located at Rua da Granja, 11 in Monte da Caparica.

Clínica Fisioterapia Egas Moniz

In the clinics we provide not only oral health care ( dentistry) for adults and children but also consultations and treatments in the areas of Nutrition, Physical therapy, Psychology, Audiology and Speech Therapy. Complementary diagnostic exams in Cardiology and Pulmonology are also performed at the Clínica Universitária.

The quality of the services combined with the prices charged mean that the population served by the health care provided by the Egas Moniz Clinics already goes well beyond the limits of the Almada district, where they are located.

The services provided are ensured not only by final-year students, being a place of practical training/internship for them, duly accompanied/supervised by specialised and highly qualified teachers, but also by experienced professionals.
