Egas Moniz has participated in the Erasmus Program since 1999, involving mobility activities for both students (studies and traineeships) and staff (teaching and training). Its Erasmus Policy Statement reflects the importance of the Erasmus+ Program to the institution's internationalization strategy, as well as its commitment to the European Commission's principles for 2021-2027.

In 2021, Egas Moniz was awarded the 'Erasmus Charter for Higher Education' (ECHE), which covers the seven-year period of the Erasmus+ Program (2021-2027). This charter enables the institution to continue investing in mobility and to strengthen cooperation with partner universities across Program countries.
