This Master's degree proposal, in which the teaching-learning process occurs predominantly at a distance, benefits from a teaching method that combines flexibility and rigor. The development of distance activities, both synchronous and asynchronous, increases accessibility, which is essential in an era in which learning, research and cultural dynamics are becoming globalized. The distance learning format promotes student autonomy, integration of resources and collaborative activities, which are essential for MOH. By enabling students from different geographies to attend, this modality allows for better time management and the reconciliation of training with other personal and professional responsibilities. A maximum of 25% of face-to-face teaching, focused on laboratory practice and direct interaction, is crucial for the consolidation of skills developed remotely, providing learning experiences only effectively carried out in person. The balance between modalities takes advantage of the advantages of both, and promotes holistic learning, preparing for the complex challenges addressed in MOH.

Taught in English, this Master's degree proposal allows for the globalization of teaching and the internationalization of graduates, who develop in a multicultural and international context.

This master's degree stands out for its use of innovative pedagogical practices and the integration of the topics covered in the various curricular units. The innovative pedagogical practices used incorporate, for example, Problem Based Learning, Project Based Learning, Case Based Learning, Team Based Learning, Focus Groups, Flipped Classroom, Role-Playing, Peer Instruction, Think-Pair-Share, Gamification, among others, making the learning process more dynamic, interactive and collaborative and developing critical thinking and autonomy of students, who develop socio-emotional skills while actively deepening their knowledge. The curricular structure is scientifically based, aligned with the objectives of the training offer and organized into thematic modules that unfold sequentially.

This master's degree is based on a network of partnerships with higher education institutions, public and business sector organizations, in Portugal and abroad, and by offering the opportunity for transdisciplinary training, supporting a One Health approach.

The Master's Degree in One Health works in a sequential modular structure, in which the student is focused on one module at a time and in which the modules will be addressed sequentially, promoting dedication to one module at a time and, consequently, a solid acquisition of knowledge, skills and abilities, always supported by real problems, creating bridges between the different disciplines and stimulating communication and teamwork.
