The residence is an attractive, modern accommodation facility with inviting spaces appropriate for study and socialization. The RUEM also promotes academic experience among residents, ensuring the welfare and safety of students in a family-driven environment.
Inaugurated in 2010 and located on campus, this is a modern building especially designed for this purpose, the RUEM offers 211 fully equipped rooms in order to meet the accommodation needs of students. The RUEM also provides 1 room adapted for residents with reduced mobility and 6 suites for accommodation of teaching staff and visiting researchers, as well as for parents or family members of students who wish to visit them during weekends.
There are utilitarian common areas per floor, such as pantries/kitchens, laundry and self-service clothesline, as well as leisure and rest areas for the residents, which include the common rooms (equipped with televisions). In addition to these areas, residents also have access to an outdoor swimming pool.
The RUEM also offers study rooms that provide a calm environment, necessary for the self-study of the students but also allowing the realization of academic work in groups.
Vending machines for snacks and drinks are also available.
The operating conditions of our University Residence are defined in its own regulation. The price list is defined by the Board of Directors of Egas Moniz and is subject to annual update indexed to the inflation rate.
The occupation of the rooms corresponds to one academic year. The enrolment period will take place during the enrolment phase and will operate on a first come, first served basis. This period may be extended if there are vacancies.
