Professor Sandra Cristina Soares is the Vice-Rector of the University of Aveiro, Portugal and a researcher with a broad curriculum in education, curricular innovation and mental health. Since 2022, she is the President of the Pedagogical Council and member of the Vice-Rectors of Education for European Consortium of Innovative Universities (ECIU). Soares participates in various educational projects, such as, Universidades Euopeias and has evaluated several innovative learning projects. She holds a PhD in Philosophy of Psychology from the Karolinska Institutet, Sweden.
Professor Fernando António Trindade Rebola is the Vice-President of the Polytechnic Institute of Portalegre and a researcher in education, with a focus on pedagogical innovation, curriculum development and teacher training. Since 2022, he has coordinated several programs in Education, including the Postgraduate Programme in Teaching and Learning in Digital Environments and Technologies. Rebola participates in various educational projects, such as MERIDIES and he holds a PhD in Education from the University of Lisbon, Portugal.
The guests are co-authors of several scientific publications and books, including the A3ES Pedagogical Innovation Framework for Higher Education (2022), which explores strategies to enhance teaching and learning, emphasizing the alignment of methodologies with the needs of diverse student populations.
