To be an Erasmus+ Incoming student at Egas Moniz School of Health & Science, you must:

• Be enrolled at a partner institution with an Erasmus Charter
• Be officially nominated by your home university
• Meet the academic and language requirements (you can consult the factsheet, for more information)

Important: Access credentials to the Plataform MobilidadeNet are sent directly to students by email after the official nomination is completed.

Course Selection

• You must complete a Learning Agreement OLA – if your University works with Erasmus without paper);
• For traineeships there is a template you can download from Egas Moniz website;
• It must be approved by your home university and Egas Moniz School of Health & Science;
• It must be finalized before your arrival.

Students are strongly advised to consult the Study Plans before completing their Learning Agreement to ensure academic compatibility and course availability.

Courses are taught in:

• Portuguese
• English (selected courses)

Students should always verify the language of instruction before choosing course units.

• One semester;
• One full academic year;
• Minimum two months for trainnerships.

The duration is defined by the agreement between the home university and Egas Moniz School of Health & Science.

• Erasmus+ Incoming students do not pay tuition or exam fees at Egas Moniz School of Health & Science.
• Students must continue paying tuition fees at their home institution.
• Depending on the course, students may be required to purchase specific materials (e.g., lab equipment, clinical kits, or other academic materials).

Egas Moniz School of Health & Science provides useful housing information and contacts, but students are responsible for securing their own accommodation.

• EU students: No visa required
• Non-EU students: A student visa may be required

Students should contact the Portuguese Consulate in their home country.

• Students may request access to the institutional insurance of Egas Moniz School of Health & Science (contact GRIM before or upon arrival).
• It is also recommended to hold a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

This depends on your visa status and Portuguese legislation. Students should check with immigration authorities.

• Your home university approves
• Egas Moniz School of Health & Science approves
• Your Learning Agreement is updated

Incoming students are assessed under the same academic conditions as students of Egas Moniz School of Health & Science.

Changes are possible:

• They must be requested early in the semester
• They must be approved by the students, the home university, and Egas Moniz School of Health & Science
• Changes must be made through the Plataforma MobilidadeNet

Schedules are usually made available up to one week before classes begin.

They can be accessed via the SecOnline platform using your student credentials:

• Select “Regulations/Documents”
• Then select “Schedules”

• Registration is not automatic
• Incoming students must contact GRIM to be registered for exams
• Students should request exam enrolment in advance

Egas Moniz School of Health & Science organizes welcome and orientation sessions for international students.

New students will be informed by email.

This document confirms the official start and end dates of your mobility.

• It should be requested from GRIM on your first day
• It should also be requested before departure

Students may apply for an Erasmus+ traineeship at Egas Moniz School of Health & Science, provided they are officially nominated by their home university.

The application process is the same as for study mobility:

• Formal application through the Plataforma MobilidadeNet

After the mobility period ends, Egas Moniz School of Health & Science will issue your TOR, which includes:

• Courses attended
• Grades obtained
• ECTS credits earned

Important: Students must request the TOR from GRIM once all final grades have been officially published.

The TOR will then be sent by email to the student and/or to the home university.

Before leaving, students must request the Certificate of Departure from GRIM to confirm the official end date of the mobility period.
